A finance MBA has the capacity to train students how to effectively manage the funds of their company.
Because the degree is viewed in high regard, many individuals who possess a finance MBA are appointed to upper managerial positions. Richard Gaynor, who holds an MBA degree, was recently appointed to chief financial officer (CFO) of GT Solar, a specialized production equipment provider for the solar power industry.
In addition to holding an MBA degree, Gaynor also has previous experience in financial management, serving as the CFO at Sonus Networks and Sycamore Networks. He has had more than 23 years of experience in the financial industry.
"Rick brings extensive financial control and international tax experience to GT Solar and he has been an effective leader at other global R&D-oriented technology companies," GT Solar chief executive officer (CEO), Tom Gutierrez, said in a statement.
If you're interested in pursuing an executive position such as a CFO, an MBA degree may help you get there. MBA programs are designed to train students to think ahead of the rest in order to come up with effective strategies for succeeding in their industry.
