Business schools are tailoring their programs to be more attractive to female candidates, it has been noted, efforts that appear to have paid off.
The average female enrolment at most schools has been in the mid-20 percent and low-30 percent range, according to Business Week, figures which may have previously put you off going back to school.
However, business schools have launched a targeted effort to get more female professionals into further education.
"Driving the change is a renewed effort by admissions officers, women students and alums to implement new programs and specialized outreach aimed at women, including admissions coffee chats, mentoring programs, and outreach over the summer months," the resource says.
Indeed, the forum notes that at the New York University Stern School of Business, women in the class of 2010 make up 41 percent of students.
But if you cannot go back into the classroom because of work or family commitments and wish to advance your knowledge, an online MBA could be one of the options to consider.
You may remember that Appmentor commented on a Business Week blog that students were currently finding it difficult to get their education loans, a problem you could avoid by studying for an online MBA degree.
