Many individuals enroll in MBA programs in order to pursue their dreams in either the business or financial sectors. However, a recent poll finds that while many MBAs have aspirations for a large bank, they also have technology on the brain.
For the fourth consecutive year, Google has topped the list of companies MBAs want to work for, according to CNN Money. The list is comprised through a survey conducted by Universum, a research firm.
There were still a number of banks on the list, with Goldman Sachs holding on to the third spot, Morgan Stanley ranking at number 14 and Bank of America jumping from the 37th spot to 25 this year.
"Being a part of the rebuilding of the investment banking industry is really appealing," Camille Kelly, vice president of employer branding at Universum, told the news provider. "The opportunity to work at a company when it's on the road to recovery is a great chance to make an impact at your first job out of school."
Having an MBA degree may improve your chances of employment. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate for an MBA is 3.9 percent compared to 5.2 percent for individuals who hold only a bachelor's degree.
