Because some students may not have the time to pursue a full-time undergraduate and MBA degree, some schools are beginning to combine their offerings.
Capella University, an online education provider, recently announced they would be offering a combined bachelor's of science and MBA program that would help save students money and put them on the fast track to graduation, according to TMCNet.com.
The new program will help students save more than $7,700 in cost compared to individuals who pursue each degree separately. The new online MBA degree is specifically geared toward non-traditional learners who hold a full-time job and may not have the flexible schedule to attend a classroom-based curriculum.
"The DBA is a great option for business executives, entrepreneurs, and consultants who want the doctoral knowledge, skills, and credibility to lead their organizations at the highest level." Dr Raja K. Iyer, Dean of Capella's School of Business and Technology, told the news provider.
For individuals who already have a bachelor's degree, an MBA online program could still be a beneficial option for those who want to further their education but also get into the working world. Taking online courses allows you to work on your own time schedule, leaving time to balance other commitments.
