The President of Nova Southeastern University has told a Florida newspaper that during the current economic turbulence, colleges could in fact benefit.
Speaking to the Orlando Sentinel, Ray Ferrero Jr - who oversees the 28,000-student faculty university - says that the enrollment at Nova Southeastern appears not to be dented by the recession.
"When times are bad, people reconsider what they're doing and historically, you see an increase in people enrolling in education to retrain or further their own advancement in their present positions," Ferrero says, a consideration you may have already taken into account.
His comments come as the news resource questioned how the financial markets would impact upon further education and whether federal student loans are still available, a money problem that may not be of concern to you if you undertook an online MBA and continued in your career.
Your research into a distance learning program may have led you to discover that Nova Southeastern University provides degrees in areas including, but not limited to, business, human services and psychology.
