2023 Schedule, Scores, and Results of the VT Legion Baseball State Tournament – My MBA Career

Essex Post 91, the reigning champion of Vermont American Legion baseball, is off to a strong start in the 2023 tournament. With an undefeated record in league play, they are considered the team to beat. The tournament, which will span five days, will follow a double-elimination format.
All the games will take place at St. Peter’s Field in Rutland and Castleton University. The top seeds in their respective divisions are Essex Post 91 (North), boasting a flawless record of 18-0, and Brattleboro Post 5 (South), with a record of 16-2.
In addition to the top seeds, other teams participating in the tournament include South Burlington, Colchester Cannons, Addison Post, Bennington, Manchester, and Lakes Region. It promises to be an exciting competition as these teams battle it out for the championship title.
Let’s take a look at the tournament schedule and results so far:
On Saturday, July 22, Brattleboro Post 16 defeated Addison Post 6. Lakes Region secured a victory against South Burlington with a score of 3-0. Colchester triumphed over Manchester with an impressive score of 13-0. Essex Post showed their dominance by defeating Bennington 6-1.
Moving on to Sunday, July 23, Addison Post won via forfeit against Manchester. South Burlington edged out Bennington with a close score of 6-5. Brattleboro Post continued their winning streak by defeating Lakes Region with a score of 12-8. Essex Post showcased their strength once again by defeating Colchester 7-2.
Looking ahead to Monday, July 24, Addison Post will face Lakes Region at 10 a.m. Then, South Burlington will take on Colchester at 1 p.m. Finally, Brattleboro Post will face off against Essex Post in a highly anticipated match at 4 p.m.
On Tuesday, July 25, the winner of Game 9 will go head-to-head with the winner of Game 10 at 1 p.m. Additionally, the winner of Game 12 will face the loser of Game 11 at 4 p.m.
Lastly, on Wednesday, July 26, the winner of Game 13 will compete against the winner of Game 11 at 1 p.m. If necessary, there will be a second game at 4 p.m.
