Last Updated on November 30, 2023 by Robert C. Hoopes
Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business has once again claimed the top spot as the best online MBA program in the United States. This prestigious ranking, conducted by Poets&Quants, marks the second consecutive year that Kelley has been recognized for its exceptional online MBA program. In fact, this is the third time that Kelley Direct MBA has surpassed competing programs, securing its position as the most dominant program in the history of this ranking.
Coming in at a close second is the University of Washington Foster School of Business. Foster has made significant strides in this year’s ranking, jumping an impressive six places from the previous year. What sets Foster apart is its strong performance in the academic experience category, where it received high scores based on alumni survey responses.
The University of Texas at Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management has also seen a notable rise for the second year in a row. This upward trend highlights the school’s commitment to excellence and its ability to continuously improve its online MBA program.
Maintaining its position in the top five is the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, while Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business secures the fifth spot. Both institutions have consistently delivered high-quality online MBA programs, solidifying their reputations within the industry.
However, this year’s ranking saw some shifts in the top 10. Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business and the University of Florida Warrington College of Business dropped out of the elite group, making room for the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School and Auburn University Raymond J. Harbert College of Business to join the prestigious list.
The University of Utah David Eccles School of Business experienced the biggest rise in the ranking, climbing an impressive 16 spots. This significant improvement demonstrates the school’s dedication to enhancing its online MBA program and providing students with a top-notch educational experience. On the other hand, Kennesaw State University witnessed the largest fall, dropping 15 places this year.
Unfortunately, the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business fell 14 spots due to a low alumni survey response rate. This serves as a reminder of the importance of alumni engagement and their feedback in shaping the reputation of an MBA program.
The Poets&Quants ranking takes into account various factors that differentiate the online MBA programs at Indiana Kelley and UW Foster. It provides detailed information on admissions standards, career impact, and academic experience, allowing prospective students to make well-informed decisions when choosing a program.
The recognition of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business as the best online MBA program for the second consecutive year solidifies its position as a leader in online business education. With continuous improvements and a commitment to excellence, the Kelley Direct MBA program showcases the endless possibilities that online education can offer for aspiring business professionals.
