Rajeev Annapragada, a determined individual hailing from Southern India, has overcome tremendous obstacles to pursue his dreams of a successful career in the business world. Despite losing 95% of his eyesight to a rare genetic disorder, Rajeev excelled in school with the help of friends and family who read to him and dictated back answers. However, the challenges did not end there, as he faced reluctance from employers in India to hire a blind candidate.

Determined to carve out his own path, Rajeev decided to pursue an MBA with the hopes of studying in the U.S. After facing rejection and discrimination in his job search in India, Rajeev enrolled at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management-Trichy, where he continued to work and advocate for people with disabilities. His experiences and passion for meaningful change motivated him to pursue a U.S. MBA.

With the guidance of a consultant, Rajeev applied to top schools and was accepted into Columbia Business School. The renowned institution not only offers academic support but also fosters a community where classmates provide assistance with his disability. Rajeev aims to utilize his financial services skills in multinational companies to make a positive impact on both business and society.
