Harvard Business School’s prestigious 2+2 deferred MBA admission program has once again attracted a significant number of applications, with only a select few making the cut. This year, out of a staggering 1,528 applicants, a mere 118 were admitted into the program, highlighting the exclusivity and competitiveness of the admissions process.

Among those vying for a coveted spot in the program is John, a promising senior at Western University in Canada. Known for his exceptional academic performance, John boasts an impressive track record, with a remarkable 3.97 GPA in engineering and a commendable 3.86 GPA in business.

But John’s accomplishments do not end there. With a practice GMAT score of 760, it is clear that he is well-prepared for the challenges that lie ahead in the actual GMAT exam. His dedication to his studies and commitment to excellence have surely played a role in harboring such success.

However, it is not just John’s academic achievements that make him stand out among his peers. Throughout his undergraduate years, he has secured invaluable work experience through internships at esteemed companies such as the L.A. Clippers basketball team, D.E. Shaw Group, The Boston Consulting Group, Data SEA Consulting, and the Royal Bank of Canada.

Furthermore, John has shown great leadership potential, holding prominent positions as the co-president of the Ivey Case Competition Club and co-president of the university’s artificial intelligence society. These leadership roles have allowed him to hone his skills in collaboration, problem-solving, and decision-making.

To further assess John’s chances of admission into the highly competitive 2+2 program at Harvard, a mock interview was conducted by esteemed professionals Sandy Kreisberg and John A. Byrne. The interview highlighted John’s professionalism, his ability to articulate his thoughts effectively, and his likability—all qualities that make him a strong contender for both Harvard’s 2+2 program and Stanford’s deferred admissions program.

As the admissions process unfolds, it is undoubtedly an exciting time for John and many others who have put their hearts and minds into securing a spot in these renowned MBA programs. Only time will tell if John’s exceptional qualities and accomplishments will indeed grant him the opportunity to embark on a successful MBA career at a top-tier institution like Harvard.
