Impington International College Students Excel in IB Exams
Impington International College students have reason to celebrate as they achieved outstanding results in the International Baccalaureate (IB) exams. The average IB point score for the students was an impressive 33, surpassing the global average of 30.24.
One student in particular, Jonny Goon, achieved the highest score among his peers. He expressed gratitude to the college and highlighted the advantages of studying the IB internationally. Goon’s success serves as a testament to the quality education provided by Impington International College.
In addition to individual achievements, the college as a whole continues to thrive academically. Half of all students at Impington International College have received offers to study at Russell Group universities, known for their excellence in higher education. Furthermore, an impressive 75% of Diploma Programme (DP) students who applied to the University of Cambridge and Oxford University received offers.
Impington International College has consistently proven its commitment to providing a top-notch education. In this year’s batch of IB students, an astounding 95% successfully passed the programme, surpassing the global pass rate of 79.3%.
The college’s success can be attributed to several factors, one of which is the smaller class sizes and increased one-on-one time with teachers. This approach has created a more engaging learning experience for students, leading to their outstanding results.
Moreover, it is noteworthy that Impington International College offers the IB Career-related Programme (CP). This year, 28 out of 30 students who studied this programme passed. The CP has opened doors for students to secure places at prestigious Performing Arts and sporting institutions. For instance, Ruby Decent, who achieved high scores in her IB courses, has secured a place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. Similarly, Scobie MacKinnon, who excelled academically, will be attending the University of Sussex to study Psychology.
Impington Village College, the parent institution of Impington International College, has also been making waves in the education sector. It recently became the first state school in the UK to offer the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) for free. This initiative aims to provide more students with the opportunity to access a high-quality international education.
Overall, the exceptional IB results achieved by Impington International College students are a testament to their dedication and the commitment of the college to provide a stimulating and supportive learning environment. These achievements pave the way for the future success of its graduates as they enter their respective fields and embark on their promising careers.
