McDonald‘s, the global fast food leader, has revived a classic mascot to herald the introduction of new and improved burger options. A new advertising campaign features the return of the Hamburglar, a popular mascot from the 1970s and 1980s, to promote the restaurant chain’s most recent burger superb creations.

McDonald’s first debuted the Hamburglar in 1971 as a cartoon criminal who would steal hamburgers from other cartoon characters. Soon he was a household name thanks to ads, merchandising, and even a playable role in the video game “McDonaldland.” In 2002, however, the Hamburglar was decommissioned, much to the dismay of those who enjoyed seeing his antics.

The Hamburglar has been out of the public eye for nearly 20 years but recently has made a comeback. McDonald’s new commercial features the “Hamburglar” snatching a burger from a customer’s plate and then returning it with an improved version. The Hamburglar then goes on to tell the diner about McDonald’s new burger menu, which uses products from nearby farms and ranches.

The new burger menu has a wide variety of tasty selections. There’s the Classic Angus Cheeseburger, which features two slices of cheese, a bakery-style bun, and one hundred percent pure beef. The Quarter Pounder Deluxe, which comes on a toasted sesame seed bun and features a quarter-pound beef patty, is another great choice.

McDonald’s has introduced the Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich, which is produced with 100% white meat chicken breast, a buttermilk coating, and a bakery-style bun, for customers who prefer chicken over beef. Juicy chicken slathered in a spicy BBQ sauce and topped with crispy onions makes up the Spicy BBQ Chicken Sandwich, another excellent option.

The McPlant Burger, with its plant-based patty and sesame seed bun, and the Spicy Veggie Deluxe, with its veggie patty, spicy sauce, and all the fixings, are just two examples of the vegetarian and vegan options on the new menu.

The new burger menu and the return of the Hamburglar are exciting developments for McDonald’s customers who have been waiting for something fresh and innovative for some time. Many people have pleasant recollections of McDonald’s, and using a recognizable character from the chain’s history is a smart marketing strategy for higher rates that play on those sentiments.

In conclusion, McDonald’s has returned with a vengeance, what with the return of the Hamburglar and the release of a brand new burger menu. There is something online for everyone, from meat eaters to vegetarians, among the many tasty selections available. Visit your neighborhood McDonald’s and order something from the new menu; you won’t be let down.
