Wartburg College Shines at NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships
Wartburg College made a strong showing at the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, finishing in second place behind Augsburg University. The team had an impressive performance, with five out of seven wrestlers earning All-American status at the championships.
One standout wrestler for Wartburg was Massoma Enden, who finished his season undefeated at 197 pounds and secured a national title. This victory adds to Wartburg’s impressive history in wrestling, as they have now won 15 team titles since 1996.
Not to be outdone, Loras College also had a strong presence at the championships, finishing in 10th place with three wrestlers earning podium finishes. Luther College, Coe College, and Cornell College also had wrestlers who placed at the championships, showcasing the depth of talent in wrestling across Iowa.
Augsburg University ultimately took first place in the team standings, with Wartburg coming in second. Meanwhile, Upper Iowa represented Iowa at the NCAA Division II Championships, finishing in 17th place as a team. Chase Luensman and Tate Murty both had impressive showings for Upper Iowa, finishing second at 165 pounds and fifth at 141 pounds, respectively.
