High school students across the country are gearing up to take the new and improved version of the SAT exam this Saturday. The College Board, the organization behind the SAT, has made significant changes to the test in an effort to reduce stress and make it more user-friendly for students.
One of the biggest changes to the SAT is the shorter length of the exam. Previously a grueling three hours, the new SAT will only last two hours and 14 minutes. This change gives students more time for each question, allowing them to carefully consider their answers without feeling rushed.
In addition to the shorter overall duration, students will also benefit from shorter reading passages on the new SAT. This change aims to make the test more engaging and less overwhelming for test-takers.
One of the most exciting updates to the SAT is the introduction of an online graphing calculator for the math section. This new feature will allow students to use a calculator for the entire math portion of the exam, removing the need to bring a physical calculator to the test center.
Overall, these changes to the SAT are designed to make the exam more accessible and less stressful for high school students. As students prepare to take the revamped SAT this weekend, they can rest assured that the College Board has taken steps to make the test a more positive and manageable experience for all.
