Ben Arinze’s Inspiring Journey From Illness to Investment Banking Offer

Ben Arinze’s life took a drastic turn when he was struck by a mysterious illness, causing him to lose his job, apartment, social life, and independence. Initially diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Arinze later received confirmation from a neuromuscular doctor that the diagnosis was inaccurate.

Despite the lack of a clear diagnosis, Arinze began to notice signs of improvement in his health and cognitive abilities. In March 2023, he started physical therapy and set a goal for himself to attend the prestigious Johnson Graduate School of Management. His determination paid off when he moved to Ithaca in August 2023 to begin his journey as a Cornell MBA student.

In a surprising turn of events, Arinze received an investment banking offer in NYC for the summer of 2024 in December 2023. Through his perseverance and resilience, Arinze has shown that anything is possible with hard work and dedication.

Throughout his journey, Arinze has emphasized the importance of prioritizing loved ones and living in the present moment, as the future is always uncertain. His story serves as a reminder to all aspiring MBA students that challenges can be overcome with the right mindset and support system.
