Outstanding Results in 2023 National Student Survey – My MBA Career

St Mary’s University, Twickenham has received exceptional feedback from its graduating students in the latest National Student Survey (NSS). The university, known for its excellent MBA program, has been rated in the top five in London in six key areas among higher education providers with university status.

One area where St Mary’s excelled was in academic support, receiving a rating of 89%, making it the number one university in London for this category. Additionally, the university ranked second in London for teaching on the MBA course, with a rating of 88%, which is almost three percent above the sector average.

The survey also highlighted the university’s strong faculty-student relationships. An impressive 94% of students stated that staff members were good at explaining things, giving St Mary’s the top score in London. Furthermore, 87% of students reported that staff made their subjects engaging, demonstrating the university’s commitment to creating an interactive learning environment.

St Mary’s also garnered recognition for its learning opportunities, being rated second in London and in the top ten nationally. The university was ranked second in London and in the top five for organization and management. It also secured the fifth position in London for assessment and feedback, as well as student voice.

Reacting to this accolade, St Mary’s Vice-Chancellor, Anthony McClaran, expressed delight and emphasized the university’s dedication to providing an exceptional student experience. He highlighted that these positive results are a testament to St Mary’s commitment to quality education.

These outstanding results build on the university’s recent achievements. St Mary’s has climbed 25 places in the Complete University Guide, earning a spot in the top ten for student satisfaction in the country. Additionally, the university was ranked in the top five nationally for teaching quality and within the top ten for student experience in the Sunday Times Good University Guide.

St Mary’s impressive accomplishments extend beyond national rankings. The university achieved its highest-ever ranking on the league table, placing 51st overall. It also experienced substantial improvement in the Times Higher Education Research Excellence Rankings, climbing an impressive 32 places from the previous edition. The majority of St Mary’s research was rated 4* World Leading or 3* Internationally Excellent in the 2021 Research Excellence Framework.
