Bishop Kelley High School’s football team has a reason to celebrate as two of its star players, Sam Rhoades V and Reid Jones, have officially signed with Air Force and Central Arkansas, respectively. Rhoades, who also considered options from Army and New Mexico State, ultimately chose Air Force due to its combination of high-level football and academics.

Rhoades, an exceptional talent on the field, believes Air Force offers him the best fit for his future. With a strong commitment to both football and academics, he saw the Air Force as a perfect match for his aspirations. This decision did not come lightly, as Rhoades carefully weighed his options before making a commitment to the team.

Similarly, Jones had his fair share of signing day nerves but ultimately decided that Central Arkansas was the right fit for him. Despite the anxiety surrounding this significant decision, Jones believes that Central Arkansas will offer him the perfect environment to thrive both athletically and academically. Due to his mom’s knee replacement surgery, Jones has decided to delay his signing ceremony until February, showcasing the importance of family in his life.

Both Rhoades and Jones credit their coach, JJ Tappana, who had seen their potential as sophomores and recognized their talent early on.
