The Bay Area News Group, the leading news organization in the Bay Area, is once again hosting its highly anticipated boys Athlete of the Week poll. This poll allows readers and sports enthusiasts to vote for their favorite athlete from a list of outstanding candidates who displayed exceptional performances in the previous week.

Voting is currently open and will continue until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, giving everyone ample time to cast their votes. It’s important to note that the use of bots or any artificial methods of voting is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this rule can result in disqualification and suspension from future polls. Additionally, votes sent via email or those submitted after the deadline will not be counted.

Every Friday, the winners will be announced both online and in print, celebrating their achievements and recognizing their hard work and skill. It’s a great opportunity for these athletes to receive the recognition they deserve.

The list of nominees for this week’s poll is quite impressive, featuring standout performances in football and cross country. Sully Bailey of Acalanes football, for instance, soared to victory with an astounding five touchdowns in a 50-0 win. Meanwhile, Noah Beedon of Los Altos football displayed his exceptional talent by throwing for 249 yards and four touchdowns in a 30-26 victory.
