Top business leaders and tech moguls gathered at the White House for a state dinner hosted by President Joe Biden in honor of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Among the attendees were Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan, Tim Cook of Apple, and Jeff Bezos, former Amazon CEO.
One of the highlights of the evening was Microsoft president Brad Smith’s announcement of a $2.9 billion investment in AI data centers in Japan by 2025. This move solidifies Microsoft’s commitment to expanding its presence in the region.
Other notable guests included Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, and SoftBank founder Masayoshi Son.
