Elon University Men’s Golfer Ends Fall Season Strong with Top-10 Finish
Elon University’s men’s golfer, Wieler, concluded his fall season on a high note with an impressive birdie on the 18th hole at the Bryan National Collegiate. This achievement marked his 10th round of par or better out of 15 tries this fall season, placing him in a tie for ninth and securing his second career top-10 finish.
Reflecting on his solid performance throughout the week, Wieler expressed satisfaction with his improvement on the par fives and his strong finish. He credited his coaches and teammates for their support in his successful start to college golf and described the experience as a great one.
In addition to Wieler’s individual success, his top-10 result contributed to the Elon University men’s golf team’s third runner-up finish this fall season. The team also celebrated a significant win at the Phoenix Invitational. This consistent performance underscores the team’s strength and determination.
While the fall season was undoubtedly successful for Elon University’s men’s golf team, Wieler emphasized the team’s desire to improve further in the spring, particularly in starting off stronger in the first round. Recognizing the areas for growth, the team is eager to continue their hard work and strive for even better results.
