Denver Pioneers Win 10th NCAA Men’s Hockey National Championship
Denver, CO – The Denver Pioneers made history in the NCAA men’s Frozen Four championship game by defeating Boston College 2-0 to claim their 10th national title. Goalie Matt Davis played a pivotal role in the team’s victory, making a stunning save in front of the net and recording 34 saves overall to hand Boston College their first shutout of the season.
The game saw Jared Wright scoring for Denver in the second period, followed by another goal from Rieger Lorenz. The Pioneers’ strong defensive play resulted in shutting down Boston College and securing their record-breaking championship win.
With this victory, Denver now holds the record for the most national titles of all time, with 10 championships under their belt. Other notable teams, such as Michigan, BC, and Boston University, have won a combined total of 29 national titles.
