Microsoft has made an exciting announcement that will benefit businesses of all sizes. The tech giant is now providing access to its AI-powered Office features to all businesses, regardless of their size.

In the past, businesses had to commit to a minimum of 300 users and pay an additional cost of $9,000 to access Copilot for Microsoft 365. However, Microsoft has now eliminated the 300-seat requirement, making it accessible to businesses of any size. The cost of accessing Copilot will be $30 per user, per month.

Moreover, Microsoft is expanding access to Copilot inside Office apps. Office 365 E3 and E5 customers, as well as Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Business Premium subscribers, will now be able to utilize this innovative tool. Powered by GPT-4 from OpenAI, Copilot serves as a chatbot assistant within Microsoft 365 apps. It assists users with tasks such as generating text, creating PowerPoint presentations based on Word documents, and utilizing features like PivotTables in Excel.

The availability of Copilot extends beyond the Microsoft Office suite. It is also accessible in Teams, a platform widely used by businesses for collaboration and communication. With Copilot in Teams, users can conveniently summarize meetings and compose draft email responses with different tones and lengths.

Microsoft is confident that the introduction of Copilot will revolutionize the process of creating and editing documents. This move is a significant departure from the original launch of Copilot in November, where only enterprise users had access to this valuable tool.

By removing the minimum user requirement and making Copilot available to businesses of all sizes, Microsoft is leveling the playing field and ensuring that all companies can benefit from the advanced capabilities of AI-powered Office features. This will undoubtedly enhance productivity and efficiency for businesses, both large and small.

As businesses continue to navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, Microsoft’s commitment to democratizing access to AI-powered tools like Copilot demonstrates its dedication to empowering businesses and supporting their growth in today’s digital age.
