USC cancels speech by Crazy Rich Asians director Jon M Chu amid uproar

The University of Southern California (USC) has stirred controversy after canceling commencement speeches by Jon M Chu and other honorees, citing security concerns amid the cancellation of a speech by pro-Palestinian valedictorian Asna Tabassum.
The decision, which was announced on the university’s website, was made in response to fears of disruption related to the ongoing conflict in Gaza and external influences on the campus situation.
