Oklahoma State University’s Pete’s Pet Posse (P3) has joined forces with the OSU Master of Business Administration program in a groundbreaking collaboration aimed at enhancing student well-being and community engagement.
MBA students are utilizing their skills in fundraising, marketing/PR, and app development to support P3 and amplify the impact of pet therapy on campus and beyond. Former OSU First Cowgirl Ann Hargis expresses her belief that MBA students are truly making a difference at OSU by employing their expertise to enhance P3.
MBA Program Director Matt Bowler recognizes the value of the partnership, stating that when students are involved in real-world challenges, everyone benefits. This collaboration reflects the university’s dedication to interdisciplinary collaboration and empowering students to instigate positive change.
Dr. Steph Phipps, assistant professor of practice, management for Spears Business, emphasizes the importance of providing students with practical business experience through collaborations like this one. Research has demonstrated the significant impact of pet therapy on campus well-being, with 99% of students feeling supported at P3 events.
The partnership with the MBA program aims to boost student engagement and raise essential funds for the self-funded program, ensuring its long-term success. This unique collaboration highlights the power of combining business acumen with community initiatives to drive positive change and enhance student well-being at Oklahoma State University.
