The MBA Class of 2025 at Harvard Business School recently came together to discuss women leaders and case protagonists who have inspired them in honor of Women’s History Month. Students highlighted qualities of effective leadership such as empathy, integrity, mentorship, resilience, and humility.

Some of the women leaders mentioned include Indra Nooyi, Sandra Horbach, Mary Barra, Lisa Su, and Cynthia Carroll. The students emphasized the importance of prioritizing employee health and safety in decision-making.

Despite the progress made in promoting gender equality, the students acknowledged the ongoing challenges for women in male-dominated industries and stressed the importance of mentorship and advocacy. The incoming co-president of the Women’s Student Association expressed gratitude for the women who paved the path for current students.

Personal stories were shared during the discussion, including the impact of upbringing by a strong grandmother on values and perspective. The video was originally featured on the HBS Newsroom page, highlighting the importance of recognizing and celebrating women leaders and pioneers in various fields.

This event served as a reminder of the contributions of women to the business world and the importance of showcasing their achievements. The students expressed their commitment to continuing the work of their predecessors and creating a more inclusive and diverse future for all leaders.
