Kennesaw State MBA Student Combines Degree with Service to Make a Difference
Tracey Graves, a dedicated MBA student at Kennesaw State University, is using her business knowledge to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Inspired by her family’s emphasis on service from a young age, Graves has made it her mission to help others through various volunteer opportunities.
Graves has a rich history of service, having volunteered with underprivileged children in Los Angeles, served with the Peace Corps in Zambia, and currently sitting on a nonprofit board that assists girls in paying for their education. In memory of her grandmother, she co-founded the Josephine Wright Foundation, which helps individuals in the low country preserve their land.
Choosing to pursue a graduate degree at Kennesaw State was a strategic decision for Graves, who sought to deepen her knowledge of the entertainment industry and enhance her ability to serve the community. As a graduate assistant with the ACE program, she works tirelessly to help disadvantaged residents in metro Atlanta start and grow their own businesses.
Mark Hiatt, director of the ACE program, commended Graves for her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the world. Kennesaw State University, known for its innovative teaching methods and strong academic programs, offers a range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees to over 45,000 students.
Graves is a shining example of how combining education with a passion for service can lead to meaningful and impactful change within communities. Her efforts exemplify the values of Kennesaw State University, where students are encouraged to make a difference in the world through their knowledge and skills.
